Why You Should Go To Baptist Church

For almost everyone, Sunday mornings are all about visiting the mount vernon baptist church. The positive view of a physical church location is difficult for some to wrap their heads around, either because they were hurt by someone in the church or because they view corporate worship negatively.

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. – Ephesians 4:11-13

Have you ever skipped church because you did not feel like going or because you are just too tired to get up on Sunday morning ? There will be times when you just don’t feel like going to church. You either do not feel like getting dressed for church or you are just too tired . This may be going on for several months and you think the other church members are most likely assuming that you will never come back. Is it a sin to not feel like going to church and just not go because you do not feel like it?

It is a way of showing our love for God. Going to baptist church is a tangible expression of our love for God. It is where we gather together to publicly show our faith and trust in God, something that’s required of all Christians.

“For to this you were also called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow in His steps: Who committed no sin.” 1 Peter 2:21-22.

There are many more verses that say the same thing. To be a true follower of Christ is about what happens on the inside. Jesus was a man like us, yet never once did He sin. Because of this He made it possible for us to overcome sin. To be a Christian means that you are walking on the way of overcoming the sin that you are tempted to do. One of the ways you can strengthen yourself is by attending baptist church.

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. – 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

When you go to baptist church you will be exercising your gifts. From preaching to encouraging, hospitality to administration, God equips His children with gifts to serve Christ. When a church body is healthy, its members realize they are part of the congregation not only to receive but also to be a blessing.

As a believer in Christ you should desire to attend mount vernon baptist church and have regular fellowship with other believers. It is essential on your walk of faith and this will help you as God makes you into the image of Christ.
