“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” –Matthew 24:14
There’s no denying that the digital age has made communicating and acquiring more information accessible for everyone. However, in the saturated hub of information, it’s crucial that individuals find their way to the Truth. That’s why it’s important for Churches and other Christian organizations to make their presence known online, as well.
True enough, gaining access to the Internet, at times, can stimulate worldly desires, making one surrounded by the haze of trends and false teachings. But the Internet can also become a tool for Christians to shed light on individuals who have lost their way. Not only that, but it can also be a way to unite communities, allowing them to come together as one whole Church of God.
But why should we start blogging like any other influencer?
Being an influencer isn’t always a bad thing. We can say that Paul, himself, was an influencer of his time. But rather than writing blogs, he traveled from place to place to spread the Word of God and gaining for followers of Christ. At that time, he was able to use his influence for the salvation of all.
Essentially, blogging is a way for others to speak their truth.
And as a church, we have the opportunity to speak God’s Truth online where we can inspire more and more followers to turn to Him.
Consequently, the Internet has also become a place where false doctrines are posted. And those who are still finding their way toward God will gain access to them as they drift farther and farther away from Him.
“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,” 2 Timothy 4:3
That’s why it is our mission as a Church to negate these false teachings, rebuke these individuals, and bring to light the Word that God has given us.
At the same time, we write blogs to inspire those who are in the faith and those who are still finding their identity in the faith. Through our writing, we can unravel the messages that God wants to relay to his people through our wisdom and journey in building a relationship with Him.
Let His inspiration in you bring other people closer to Him, as well.
“And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” Mark 16:15
