NextGen Director

MIDDLE/HIGHSCHOOL

Grades 7-12

Hello and welcome to the NextGen712 Student Ministry.

NextGen712 Student Ministry is on a dynamic mission to CONTACT 7-12 grade students so we can CONNECT them to this ministry in which they can COMMIT to grow, and ultimately, be COMMISSIONED to follow Christ. We have work to do. The data shows that more than half of the students who grow up in church leave the faith when they graduate from high school. Is this because of unbelieving professors in college, busy schedules that do not have room for God, freedom to do what you want, or a little bit of everything?

What is the solution? Authentic faith: a faith that becomes your own during your middle/high school years and continues to grow after you leave home. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 1:18-19, “This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith.”

We strive to create environments where students can connect, become more like Jesus, and be equipped to radically transform their world for Him.

Please let me know how I may be of further assistance. Thanks for reading!

Jesus Calls Matthew

Matthew becomes a disciple of Jesus.

July 28

Matthew was a tax collector, a sinner despised by the Pharisees, but Jesus chose him as one of his closest disciples. At the call of Jesus, Matthew left everything behind and followed Jesus. He gave a feast in honor of his new Lord and invited those he knew, tax collectors and sinners, so they could encounter the Savior.
